My husband and I are trying to exchange into to the Coral Gardens next year and I heard the owners have split their timeshare units. They also do not appear on the Interval resort directory anymore. I called Interval and they told me that the Coral Garden owners can not exchange out, but we can exchange in. That does make sense. If they can not exchange out, doesn't that mean that there are no units open for us to exchange into? Also, we requested the Alexandra Resort as well. Is one better than the other? We have been to Jamaica, Aruba and Cancun 3 times. Also Nice, stayed near beach) in France as well.

Thanks for any advice!

I believe that The Alexandra is the only Time Share property here.

Most of the timeshare owners at the Alexandra use the weeks they own or rent them out. Very rarely do I see anyone want to exchange. I believe people have had better luck getting into Coral Gardens

If you can exchange your time share for either of those properties grab it. My friends timeshare has a 2 year waiting list for the Alexandra.

Oh wow a 2 year wait, bummer!!

So what you are saying? Can you still trade into both but the Alex is hard to get into? I know this is not a Dominican Republic forum, but we chose as a back up for Turks, the Marien Coral in Puerto Plata. Any one been here? Is it a good second choice? Thanks :))
