Donkey Spider?

Hi was looking into maybe Nisbet or Four seasons..but read that someone has spoted a donkey spider tarantulas right on the hotel grounds of mt nevis hotel....Have any of you seen these around, and how prevalent? I understand if they are in the mountains, but on the hotel grounds is creepy...Thanks..

We just returned from 2 weeks at the Mount Nevis Hotel, it is the only place we stay in Nevis...never saw a spider of any kind. I would imagine if the donkey spider is natural fauna in the island it will be found throughout. I spent time sitting on the ground near Cottle church to watch the monkeys and never saw a spider.

They are around, but like you said not seen. After a good rain they come out. We are a tropical island and have many diffrent creatures. Nothing to be very afraid of. Just remember your much bigger than them and most hotels are screened and have a regular insect spraying. Just watch where you step. ;) I for one have lived here 4 years and have only seen one in my yard one time and it was very small.
