Anyone stayed at Crescent Point Resort? |
|
Trying to compare Crescent Point to the Meridian and LaCovia. Does anyone know the pros/cons of each? 3 adults with 2 small children. |
|
Have not stayed at Cresent Point, but from beach walks will say beach and water there has a lot of ironshore, whereas Lacovia & Meridian (we have stayed at both of these) have huge sandy beachfronts, lovely pool areas, and no ironshore. Lacovia & Meridian located in the central area of SMB, all units have in unit washers/dryers, all units very nicely appointed, terrific management, and conveniently located to grocery store (Foster's at the Strand), shopping, a variety of restaurants,...yet also not far from Georgetown if you want to spend time poking about the shops there. Ian at caymanvacations.com can undoubtedly assist you in making the right choice for you and your family.

Thank you, lovecayman. It is tough to decide by just looking at pictures of each. My original thoughts, and according to the reviews I have heard about Meridien and Lacovia is that both are excellent. I think it will be a tough decision between those 2. Thanks again!

I have stayed at Crescent Point and have found it to be my favorite place on the island. While the beach entry is a little rocky, you merely have to step a few feet over and can enter without a problem. To compensate for the coral reef, the complex have the most gorgeous grounds (and pool) of any complex on seven mile beach. Plus, the reef makes for great snorkelling. Crescent Point has all of the amenities that the previous poster mentioned (washer/dryer, fitness center, etc) but is also much smaller than Lacovia or Meridian. If you're looking for a relaxing time, I would recommend it as most of the condo units are owned by full time occupants, not lots and lots of visitors.
