Ferry

Need ferry from St Thomas to Virgin Gorda Sunday. Will be arriving St Thomas 1:35 PM. I see there is limited service on Sunday.

Any way to make this happen, either direct ferry or thru St John

can email direct at trailrunnersc@hotmail.com

THANKS!

Here is a link to the ferry schedule through Tortola. That is what you will need to do. You want to take either Smith leaving at 3:30 (if they are running) or RTFF at 4:15 (more dependable service).

bestofbvi.com/info/bviferry_sttCA_tortola.htm

There is a ferry leaving from Road Town to VG at 7:00pm (Speedy, very dependable).

bestofbvi.com/info/bviferry_tortola_vg.htm

Basically, you will have about 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait in Charlotte Amalie (get some lunch and drinks nearby or at restaurant upstairs) and a 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait in Road Town (again, nearby bars and restaurants). You can drop your luggage off at the ferry dock both at Charlotte Amalie and Road Town. You will go through customs on Tortola (15-30 minutes depending on number of people and your position in the line). You will arrive on VG around 7:30pm.

Thanks for the info - invaluable. Have googled ferry schedule several times, had not seen the RTFF. Ferry schedules online not very clear, especially for Sundays. Would have been scrambling around without your reply. Have a great weekend.
