I don't know either of the places other than the names. Carrie's has a web site: http://www.bviguide.com/carriesislandinn, but Stanley's doesn't. I know that Stanley's are owned by the same man who owns Stanley's beach bar on Cane Garden Bay. That is a very simple bar, with lovely home-cooked food, just the same as its always been. I will ask around tomorrow and see what I can find out.

I have found out a bit more! Stanley owns Carrie's Comfort Inn as well as Stanley's villas and he apparently manages all of them. I think Stanley's Villas are out more on the point and are one and two bedroom villas and a little more luxurious than Carrie's, but it could be the other way round. They are all short-term rental places, but one of them rents more by the week, and the other can go for months at a time. I'm sorry that I am not more precise about which is which but I was partying at the time I got the info!

Carrie's Island Comfort and Stanley's Villas are owned by the same person. Carrie's is apartment style with kitchen, living area, balcony and separate bedroom with A/C in the bedroom and ceiling fans in bedroom and living room. It is clean, casual and quiet and has one of the best views you could want, and their rates are very, very reasonable. It is a five minute drive down the hill to Cane Garden Bay or a little longer (and steep) walk. Road Town is just ten minutes over the mountain. I have stayed here many times and highly recommend it.
