a timeshare

Hi..hope someone can help...my friend from work has offered her timeshare for Divi Little Bay.. in St. Maarten.for a week in the fall and the price is right for me...Free...so i was wonder how does that work ..I have no idea on timeshare, never went to any kind of promotion when I was on vacation an I have been to many islands...

How do I go when it is in her name? Does the Dive Little Bay have all included or is everything seperate? I didn't want to ask her . I wanted to have some idea first then ask her more question. I so want to go the island looks great....and I have never been... Thanks for your help...

Your friend should contact Divi and have the confirmation for the week you are staying at Divi issued in your name. Bring the confirmation with you to the resort and present it at the guest registration. It's as easy as that.

This resort does not have all-inclusive but does have three restaurants available on site.

You will need your passport and carry a pen or two to fill out the immigration / customs forms.

The resort works pretty much as does a hotel. You'll receive a packet of information upon arrival.

You can shop around for groceries near the resort. There is also a small mini-mart on site as well as other shops, a coin laundromat, bars, tennis, watersports, theme nights, more..

Enjoy your vacation.

Most visitors to tis island rent a car and visit several beaches, duty free shop in Philipsburg & in Marigot, maybe visit a casino and of course dine around. This is the dining capital of the Caribbean, restaurants service all kinds of foods at all price ranges.

Here is a good link to the many things going on all in one easy format - don't forget to pick up the free magazines at the airport, they are full of coupons and tips on what to do and see.

If you are going to food shop the nearest supermarket to the Divi is Le Grand Marche on Bush Road, a 5+ minute drive.

Divi has several theme nights, we enjoy the all you can eat BBQ night Thursday with live island show.

Jot down all of your questions about dining off the resort, beaches to see, etc. and post them for the forum to respond.

Enjoy!

Kathleen - Here is a Divi promotional video made a few years ago - all units have been competed at this time - gives you an idea of what the resort looks like today....
