Just checking to see if anyone had anything new to add ref. The Great Bay Hotel and the renovarions. Heading that way on April 9th. with a bunch of friends from Portland, Maine. Had heard of the problems they did have but also heard that everything is fine now. Any information will be apperciated. Coldncranky, when are you going?

planning to go in July. Stayed there back in 2001 and it really was the perfect location. Looking at some recent reviews has prevented me from actually booking this hotel again. I get conflicting reports on the progress of renovations. I called directly and was told that one side of the hotel being turned into Timeshares so construction still going on; supposed to be done by 4/1/05, but not convinced. Just heard today that the rooms on first floor of hotel not complete or open. Can't tell if the casino is open or if beach still has lots of debris on it.

If you have heard more, would love for you to share it here.

Stop worrying...this place is up and running!!

Got back a week ago...didn't hear a thing from the Miramar section..food great...casino open..beach clean...weather hot sand soft...good to go!!!
