1. Re: mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are part of caribbean life and mostly come out beginning at sunset when the breeze is low. Make sure you use insect repellent and the 'cobra' coils you burn to keep them away that they sell at supermarkets. An electric fan will help keeping them away as the breeze pushes them away. If you are still too scared bring a mosquito net to use over your bed at night. Even if they bite you its not 100% sure you contact the virus, you jut take the necessary precautions so theyvdon't bite. If you want to do some good donate a mosquito net at the catholic church in Front Street in Phillipsburg, they will see that it reaches a family that needs it. There are many local families with no a/c that sleep with their windows open ifor ventilation that need to be protected.

Just got back from the 3 islands and saw a total of 13 mosquitos. We applied off in the morning and some at night. Never had a problem.

So no, you don't have to put up with it.
