Nice place. Very secluded. Staff doesn't care about anyone.

How was le meridien?....I am going in a couple of weeks??
I've stayed there 2 summers ago. I found it to be a bit worn.
staff a bit rude.
previously we stayed at Maho Beach and our room was better, but it was very crowded in that area.
looking for another place myself
Le Meridien location is fine, beach okay, the only major thing is the somewhat remote location over a steep hill at the end of the island. The hotel was sold a few weeks ago to the Four Seasons group, staff is in an appropriate mood waiting for the changes. Never expect in the Caribbean too much efficiency from the staff - that is the way of life. ( I know, I am politically incorrect).
There are some other great places, smaller hotels, on the island, and tons of villas to rent. Rentals are nowhere more popular than on this island because the great names of the hotel chains are missing (no Hyatt, no Marriott, no ...) and visitors get a good choice of villas and condos. Go to one of the island portals, such as www.st-maarten-info.com and make your way to the section of interest.
