Has anyone heard what kind of rennovations are being done at the hotel.

We are considering staying there in Feb. Is the all-inclusive plan good?

Heard the rooms were smelly. Which section would be better to stay in?

Since I just returned from Maho Beach on Saturday we actually took a taxi to Philipsburg to do some shopping and had to pass Great Bay Hotel which is totally under construction. They are repairing the entire hotel as well as it looks like they are adding an extention. Therefore, the hotel was completely vacant and no tourists were staying there during our trip. Hopefully it will be up and running by February! Keep checking on it!

Would love to hear what people have to say about this place. We are considering going in the spring and doing the all-inclusive plan too. Sounds like it'll be a super nice place when they are done. but not sure...

I understand you are looking into an all-inclusive in St. Maarten. I urge you to re-consider -- St. Maarten/St. Martin has some of the best restaurants in the Carribean, its part of the reason for going there over other islands. Just something to think about.
