Sandals Grande St Lucian Resort

Hi,

I know it says there are dress codes for men for certain restaurants, just wondering...are they really strict on that or will they still allow men to go in with shorts or sandals?

Also, I've been reading up on some excursions and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good one that is maybe 8 hrs long, max? Or, I've read about one called "Soufriere Special", where you visit a volcano, sulfur mineral baths, waterfalls and then a rum tasting...was wondering if anyone has done that one and if you recommend it.

Thank you all for any help/input! :)

Sandals has recently revised their dress code - men can now wear dress sandals & dress shorts - a collared shirt is still required (Polo or traditional). Any tour that takes you to Soufriere is recommended though you will pay a premium booking through Sandals.

The newer dress code for the Sandal resort resturants linked below to clarify

http://www.sandals.com/contact/faq.cfm

"~What is the dress code for the restaurants at night?

Resort Casual

Shorts or jeans, t-shirts or polo shirts. Swimwear must be covered. Shirts and footwear required.

Resort Evening

Dress pants, dress shorts or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar). Dress shoes or elegant sandals. No t-shirts, sleeveless shirts or sneakers.

On most nights you will need to dress casually elegant or elegant. This all depends on the restaurants you wish to dine in. Many couples change into more comfortable clothing after dinner. None of our restaurants require a jacket to be worn. ~"
