We are traveling to St Lucia next week. Can't wait, as it is in the single digits and below zero here in Iowa, US. We are staying at Sandals Grande St Lucian. Just wondering which water sports are included? Jet skiing?? We are staying in a penthouse ocean front concierge. Hoping to have good view of the ocean. What kind of electrical outlets do they have??

Hi rncheart,

I am going to St Lucia in March. Cna't wait! Jet-skiing is not part of the all inclusive. I believe that it is non-motorized watersports. The Hobie Cats are really fun though and there will probably be vendors where you can rent a jet ski.

I am not sure of the kind of electrical outlets but I am pretty sure that there are hair dryers in the room.

Have fun!

rncheart - I'm here in Iowa too? Damn, can it get any colder and windier? Some questions for you, is this your first time there? How did you decide which month was best to go? How did you book your trip (did you use a travel agent)?

Snorkeling trips are 3 times per day from the Grande, but you must reserve your spots. Do so within 24 hours of your arrival - they will fill up. Sign up for as many as you like. Snorkeling is included with your stay.

Water skiing and tubing are a blast and if you don't do either, they are just as much fun to watch (while eating jerk chicken wings at Barefoot by the Sea!). It's pretty much a walk up and go when the boat's out there. Never a wait when we were there.

You'd have to go elsewhere on Rodney Bay/Reduit Beach/off the Sandals property to rent jet skis.

Enjoy your stay - we LOVED it there and are actually going on a cruise and will be in St. Lucia 2 weeks from today in fact.

TO SueA:

This is our first trip to St Lucia. We picked Feb. because this worked best for our farm & livestock operation. It also worked well with the other couples we are going with.....and to get out of these subzero temps... We went through Dream Getaways in Sioux Falls, SD. I think we could have booked through the website for about the same or less $$$. But it was within a $200 or so. Not a big savings

Happy Travels on where ever you decide to go
