Hi has anyone got any new information on how the refurbs are going at the papillon? Is it open? What are they actually refurbishing? Any info would be great.

Virgin have just told me that the building work was due for completion on 6 January but has overrun and is now expected to be finished late January. We are going on 25 February so will keep on top of this and advise if I find out any further delays.

Hi,

Just got back from Rex Resorts late last night and Papillon is still closed. They are working non stop to open by next week and it was looking pretty good for that opening. We were scheduled for Papillon, but we were moved to the St. Lucian area right next door. Sadly, this area needs some TLC also and will probably get it soon. They were doing some work there also room by room, but everything is still open and operational.

I know for a fact that the pool area is all refurbished with a swim up bar at Papillon. Other then that, couldn't get into the property to see first hand how the rooms were coming.

Nice place, friendly people, beautiful beaches and clean!!! What more could you ask for?!
