I will been staying there in spetember of 07 for my honeymoon, and i didnt know which roomt cat. to say in. So, for anyone who has been there, is it worth it to upgrade from the hillside dlx to the premium.

you should see if you can get to jade mountain same owners but better views!!!
Hello atf-
which rooms (besides Jade of course!) would you recommend? I'm eyeing the beachfront rooms, but are the hillside ones' views that much better? I like the idea of being steps away to the beach and hearing the water at night. ANy info would be appreciated.
thanks,
Scott

Beachside rooms at Anse Chastanet do not have views and are level with the ocean and tucked behind some of the resort buildings, so you may not even see the water from your room. If you want the views, I suggest getting a hillside room -- you can still hear the ocean there, you get the breeze, and the oh-so-incredible views of the ocean and Pitons. The beachside rooms are located near the tennis court, one of the restaurants, spa and gift shops, so you'll be dealing with a little more noise I would think.
Hi atf,
I stayed at Anse Chastanet for my honeymoon in Nov06. We opted for a hillside delux room and it was lovely. To call it a "room" though is a bit of an understatement. It had a big bedroom leading off into a balcony area, a big bathroom with two sinks and a smaller changing/wardrobe area. We were in 15B. We had a view of the ocean, but not the pitons. Didn't see any of the "premium" rooms so can't comment on them, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a hillside deluxe.
I posted a few photos of the view from the room in my review if you want to see exactly what it was like.
