YOU ABSOULUTELY DID! I am sure you will enjoy the Grande. We have never had a bad meal, most are quite tasty! There is never a shortage of food, that is for sure. The beach is great, the water is clear and warm, beach vendors are there, a polite no thank you is all it takes to detour them. It is great to lay on the beach and look out at Rodney Bay.The staff at the Grande are great as are all the St Lucians we have met. The nightlife is fairly quiet at the Grande, but you have the right idea there anyhow!

Great choice indeed!! We celebrated our 10-year anniversary there and had a fabulous time!!! We had the same type of room - you will love watching the sun sets while you get ready for dinner; you will love having a drink from your own minibar while you do so; you will appreciate ordering breakfast in your room at least once to have on your balcony or in bed :), you will appreciate having stocked sodas and bottled water to take with you when you leave the room to head to the pool, you will love hanging out at the 20-person hot tub or any of the smaller more private ones, you will have a blast water skiing or tubing or just watching someone else do it while you eat jerk chicken wings at Barefoot by the Sea; the food is not 5-star, but you will find plenty . . . if there is one excursion I recommend, it's the Adventure Sail to Soufriere - best bang for the buck and you get in some of the best highlights of St. Lucia. You should also do the Pigeon Island walk/hike since you are right next to it. Enjoy, have a great time and post a trip report with pictures upon your return.
