Well, not really, we've been back a week already and I do miss it so.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, just ask and I will try to help.

There is construction going on from the slide, but to tell you the truth not much was happening while we were there. It looks like new villas are being built also, further up the mountain. We hardly heard any of the machines from that site either. The roads on the resort do need some repair and it seems they are doing that also.

The menus have changed since we were there last (2 years ago) Jammers and Embers have a much tastier selection where my husband and I felt that Popa Don's selection wasn't as good as before. We also felt the breakfast buffet was kind of weak, compared to last time. We didn't go to Dragonfly so can't comment.

As always, the staff was wonderful. On Friday we had a mega rain storm and the floor of our villa was drenched. We didn't really care much but when the turn-down service came she automatically called someone to clean it up. Our fridge was restocked everyday with coffee and sugar and we always had plenty of towels. After checking out we had a while to wait before the helicopter transfer came to pick us up and we were able to get drinks from one of the greeters. :) What more could you want?

hi

I am thinking of changing a booking from Almond Beach to Windjammer for a few reasons

1. Building work

2. some guests from another resort are being offered ABV so I think its going to be VERY crouded (plus over New Year)

3. Beach sounds poor

My alternative thought is this hotel you have been to and I have been interested in it for a few years. Is it good for kids? Would you rec an all inclusive deal coz I do believe it is expensive to eat at the restaurants and pay.

Any other tips?

Windjammer's supposed to be very very good for kids, with active kids clubs and activities and so on. It's marketed in the UK as being very family friendly for that reason. We didn't go there in the end, but it looked v. good from that point of view. Jay

Hi, I am planning my honeymoon for Sept. 07 and we are looking at staying at the Windjammer. The upgrade to all inclusive is a lot more expensive than we were expecting, how expensive is it for dinning and drinks? We are trying to decide if all that xtra money will be worth it.

Is there anything you don't like about it?

JACQUIDS - The Windjammer is very kid freindly, right down to the food chioces. There is a kids club, as Jay mentioned, and they have tubing and banana boat rides in the late afternoon. We took our son the second time we went who was 11 at the time and he loved it. Also, there are alot of side trips too, like the catamaran trip to the south or the Brig Unicorn which I believe does the same trip as the catamaran.

Brandela - The first time we went we did the AI and I tried to keep track of the cost, NOT EVEN CLOSE! The next 2 times we did not do AI, but we are not big eaters and I found that if we drink, we ate even less. Believe me, we drank alot on vacation and never have reached the AI amount.

Since we bought a timeshare and have visited 3 times, I'd have to say that there isn't too much I don't like. I also have an open mind and am very understanding if there is a problem, but if you have read some other posts, some aren't so understanding. For example, WJL just installed a new computer system throughout the village and there were alot of bugs while we were there: 1) at happy hour our bill wasn't adjusted to reflect the 1/2 prive drinks, so we had to get that fixed before going up to our room, no big deal 2) when I got home and check my credit card, the resort didn't exchange the rate when charging my card so it was almost 3 times as much as it should have been. With a phone call I found out that everyone that checked out that week had the same problem but they were fixing it. Again no biggy.

Any other problems were taken care of within 15 minutes (rain run- off in the living room) and that is all that matters to me. Some travelers would blow these kind of glitches out of proportion but I say you can't sweat the small stuff, it'll just keep you from having a good time.
