The taxi driver my son used was great - on the first trip! For the rest of their stay he was extremely pushy, son and DiL felt that they'd become the drivers property because they'd used him once.

We arrived a few days later and stayed in a different hotel. He drove them and us to a restaurant and from that point forward he pestered the life out of us too. How he seemed to manage to be right outside of 2 different hotels all the time is beyond me!

Who makes hard and fast plans for every day of their holiday, least of all with a taxi driver. He wanted to schedule each trip, day, place, time - the lot, with him as the driver.

Thanks, but no thanks. We could phone him if we were interested in going anywhere, not be harrassed into using his services.

Too pushy. Not nasty though, just far to 'in my face'.

I'm sure they aren't all like that, quite a few people here have had only good experiences and there have been loads of recommendations previously. I think I'd take the one already given, search for a few more on here and maybe stick with them - tried and tested!

On our last trip to St.Lucia we hired Phillip tours, Jackson and Martis were fabulous, they provided us with over the top service. They were highly recommended on this board that's why we diecided to give them a try and we're all glad we did. hi -- my family just returned from St. Lucia today and we used Fabian as our tour guide all week. He is the BEST!! The highlight of our trip was when we asked if there were any grills on the island we could cook some local fish and within 15 minutes he put together a St. Lucian beach luau complete with about 12 of his good friends and prepared local foods that were out of the world. All we supplied was the fish and he took care of the rest. Oh by the way, his taxi service and tours were awesome, on time and very knowledgeable with lots of specialized attention.
