They are very similar but I think that Bay Gardens is bigger and is more popular as a businessman's hotel. Harmony has the advantage that it faces the Rodney Bay Lagoon and you can have breakfast at the waters edge. Its a little closer to the beach too.

What about St Lucian rex resort. Does that look a good hotel. I know the location is right on the beach but what about the gardens and also do young families tend to frequent this hotel. Would rather somewhere without children and young families.

My pick would be Harmony Suites, fantastic location, beach, lots of bars, restaurants, clubs in the area. The staff were excellent when we were there, food was ok too. If you're looking for somewhere small , intimate and tranquility then definitely choose Harmony. We plan on returning there later on this year.

We recently returned from a fabulous week's holiday at Harmony Suites, our 2nd visit to St.Lucia. We enjoyed the food, the people and the natural beauty of this lush island. The management and staff at Harmony Suites were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved it there for it's quiet private location. Our best meal on the island was at the Rainforest Hideaway in Marigot Bay, the food was EXCELLENT. Once again we hired Martis with Phillip Tours for airport transfers and tours. He was always right on time and took us all over, including his home. We highly recommend him for day trips and airport transfers. (www.philliptoursstlucia.com) We really enjoyed the snorkelling at the Anse Chastnet resort, the snorkelling there was amazing, we saw TONS of fish. I must say that we never once felt uncomfortable in St.Lucia. We had a fabulous stay and look forward visiting this beautiful island again in the future.
