In researching a trip to St. Lucia, I have become torn between Ti Kaye and Anse Chastanet. Has anyone had any experience at either (or both) of these resorts and advice on which one would be best for a romantic vacation? Many thanks!

We loved Anse Chastenet. Worth the money, assuming you don't spring for the priciest of the villas. Warning: the first night we were there, some very loud honeymooners had the open-air villa next to ours! We informed the staff who cordially put us in an even lovelier villa in another area of the resort. But the snorkeling more than made up for the inconvenience and the food was great. (I'll never forget the tamarind sorbet--which I'll bet they would make just for you if you asked.) The tea room was fantastic for meditative time looking out at the sunset--as long as you don't mind birds flitting around your table. But it's the snorkeling that would take me back there. So much more dramatic and more convenient than anywhere else we've been (St. JOhn, Jamaica, Nevis). And the clientele are great, honeymooners notwithstanding. EVeryone on the beach is not just reading but reading something good. The staff drop by your thatched umbrella regularly with peppermint scented towels and refreshments. You'll feel very safe and pampered without enduring the overrun "resort "syndrome.
I live in St Lucia and have visited both many times.
Both have pros and Cons and I am past the romantic vacation bit, but in my experience you will get it at both. Both are full of young lovers!
The snorkling at both is superb. Different at both - but superb.
Both are slightly isolated although Anse Chastenet is closer to Soufriere and some of the southern attractions, and thus cheaper when you go out (assuming you do!)
AC is a bit larger and always more people on the beach, but to me Ti Kaye seems more friendly.
All that said, We could not choose between the two. My wife says AC I say Ti Kaye.
I reckon you must go with your gut feeling on what you read online. You will love either.
