Just got back last night -- had a great time. The resort is terrific value; just don't expect ultra-luxurious amenities. Food was varied, tasty and plentiful. Pools are nice -- though we spent most of our time at the VERY quiet pool in the St. Lucia Racquet Club. If you're a tennis player this is a GREAT deal --excellent facilities, lots of court time, chance to play with the locals, great bar and quiet surroundings. Service was good, though we found whenever we asked for something it rarely came through (i.e. remote for tv, extra lamp for the very dark room). But these are minor complaints -- overall a great experience. Had a wonderful meal at the Great House -- well worth the extra money. I highly recommend the "land and sea" day trip -- we travelled through rainforest, villages, etc., went to the "drive in volcano", saw the Pitons, then sailed back in the afternoon by catamaran. Awesome!

We're thinking of booking at CSL mid-March with 3 kids(15,11 and 7)...what is the beach like there? We spend most of our time on the beach and in the ocean, and love the watersports..is it a good choice?

We're actually booked to go to Punta Cana, but are thinking of changing because of the malaria situation there.
