Just a couple days until we go! We are extremely excited!

I was wondering if there were some things that you wished you would have brought when you went there. I would hate to get there and realize that I had forgotten something.

What did you forget or are extremely happy that you didn't?!

Thanks all!

Remember to take hats and LOADS of suncream - very important you will go through a lot of it and it's more expensive there!

I also usually take my own instant coffee for the room, as I find their instant coffee very bitter. If you are taking kids, throw a few packets of biscuits (cookies) in your case, I usually take some fun size sweet bags too (candy).

Plenty of insect repellant/bite relief.

Small US notes $1 & $5 as someone else said, very handy for tips, especially at the airport where the baggage handlers only carry your cases for about 50 yards. Some people complain about this but these people are only trying to make a living, it's up to you how much you give them but they don't expect much.

If you are taking small children (i.e under 7) Take a pushchair/buggy/stroller, you WILL use it, even if your children haven't used one for years.

I always take one each for my girls who are now 4 & 5, after a long day playing in the sun, little legs get very tired very quickly, and believe me you do not want to be carrying a child in that heat & humidity, especially if they fall asleep. If they have somewhere to sit & be wheeled around & go to sleep if they want to, it makes the kids comfortable, your life much easier and your holiday more enjoyable.

I have seen many miserable parents with tired kids who wished they had brought a pushchair, in fact the hotel where we stay had plans to hire them out to guests.

Hope this helps, and have a fantastic time.

Don't forget sunhats for children (and adults!) especially when you're in the pool (or at the pool bar - whichever!!)

DEFINITELY pack at least SPF 30 if not 45. We brought a tube of each. My husband is darker skinned and never burns. Even w/ the 30 he got a little crispy. I'm fair-skinned so used 45 and still had a nice tan if you want one.. Be forewarned, I saw lots of LOBSTERS on the beach, if you catch my drift. I even got this funny burn on my thigh that looked like I had been torched which got me a little worried. Aloe would be a nice touch, too, in case you DO get burned.
