They stock dairy foods like cheeses and milk and ice cream as well as dry goods like pasta w/ sauce as well as all the other basics necessites one may need (liquour, too). If you are getting your own villa w/ kitchen I suggest taking a trip to a local supermarket. Prices are ALOT cheaper and more diversified, too. Th mart is good for emergencies or things you may have forgotten to pack..

grocery store is 10 min. away, much cheaper but to be cost effective go early in your trip and get most things, because it does cost $20 round trip i believe by taxi....your taxi will wait for you for free if you ask him to(and bring him a water)....again i had stevenson auguste taxi, he was AWESOme!!!...we used him all week, even on sunday at 4 am to take us to the airport. we got back from the windjammer and ladera resorts about three weeks ago.

bjames,

I'm real curious what you thought of Windjammer in comparison to Ladera? We just got back from Windjammer. We loved it but would have LOVED to stay at Ladera. Never got around to Dasheene.

i liked the ladera, but it is extremely boring after three days. Sure you can go to the beach, do a nature walk, but after the three days my wife and I were looking forward to going to windjammer for a change of pace. It is a beautiful place, do not get me wrong, but sufriere is a hell pit compared to castries. Also, i do not know why the place is about double cost of windjammer....our villa at the windjammer was awesome and had a tv....no extras at ladera(tv,telephone,clock....)

islandgenie: Just got back from WJL this Saturday. Concerning the mini mart. It has most everything you would need. To name a few;

cigars, beer (other then Heineken and Piton), icecream, all kinds of snacks, sugar, pringles, pancake batter, etc, etc. True they are somewaht more costly then taking an taxi and shopping in a market in town. But it was very convenient and most everything we needed was right there. Even Cuban cigars.
