Hi y'all I know im full of questions on this forum and im sorry for that lol im just a planner (a very negative quality sometimes)! Anyways, about how much did you spend in taxi fare to get from Stonefield to Ladera? Also, does Stonefield have a computer that guest can use? My parents would die if I couldnt contact them to tell them I made it okay... also did anyone do any of their pre packed picnic lunches? if so what did they have in em?

Thanks so much for all your help! =)

Hi there - I can answer 2 out of 3 for you! Ladera is about $10 US each way, not very far at all - but as Stonefield booked the cab for us the cost just got added to our room bill. And yes, they are very happy for you to use the computer in the reception office whenever you want. We didn't get any packed lunches though so I can't help you with that one! Any other Stonefield questions feel free to ask!

We will be going to Stonefield next week. Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciate. We will be eating at their restaurant the majority of our stay. Comments on food, prices, etc would also be appreciated.

nutty...you still haven't gone yet?...seems like I've been answering your questions for 2 years now!!...you are INDEED a planner!

Seems like the cab up the mountain to Ladera was more like 28USD, with tip...BUT, and this is a BIG but (not big butt)...the cab driver waited for us!!...we didn't ask him to do that...we were going to call his cell...but he was there, with a couple of other drivers, just hanging around the entry area...

I used Aly Brown's computer for an emergency e-mail (he's the owner/gen mgr, or was)...so, I don't remember if they had a public one in reception area...reception is pretty much exposed to elements, with some sofas and a table under a rof-life thing, with a counter to check in...so, i don't know.

Didn't do box-lunch, per se...but, they packed us up two flying fish baguettes (on great french bread), with fresh mangoes, two perfect bananas, and some nice vinegerette salad to take away one afternoon...had some dessert pastries and two bottles of water all in a tote bag (that we gave back to them)...It was 35USD and I made it 40 with a tip.

Go already...will you please?...Z

almost forgot...there's a pay phone right in reception patio...buy a couple of cheap phone cards in Soufriere when the free shuttle takes you down there, and just call home...worked great...Z

sorry for no spell check...when I was describing recetion area, I meant to say it had a roof-like thing over the sofas...and, as the previous poster said, you COULD go into their office and use the receptionists (Frederika was it?) computer...as I mentioned , I used the owner's one time...but the phone card worked great...so I stronly suggest that...the Stonefield shuttle driver will point out the places in town that sell them...don't obsess, nutty...you are going to have such a great time...repeat it after me.......
