Wedding in May... Jalousie or Windjammer |
We are planning a quick wedding in May and are having a hard time deciding between the Windjammer and Jalousie. Is there a big difference between which side of the island you stay. We are looking for an intimate beachside wedding for us and our families. Any suggestions? |
Look/do a search in the Soufriere Forum for Jalousie wedding. Lots discussed recently. Jalousie's wedding patio is spectacularly located hi up in the resort overlooking the two pitons & the beach. I suppose you could also have the ceremony down by the beach. No experience with Windjammer, except for it's not near the scenic Pitons. Others had great experiences. Search that, too. Much as love the Windjammer I think for an intimate wedding with amazing views you would be better off at the Jalousie. The setting is absolutely stunning. The south of the island is much quieter and prettier than the north. You have less eating options though if staying non all-inclusive. Jalousie's beach is far better for snorkelling as the water is much clearer. If you only have a short time in St Lucia then opt for Jalousie. If you have a week then consider Windjammer as with the villas you get plenty of space and freedom for the children and it works out about the same cost wise. The food is better value as well. Hope this helps! | ||||||
