Intercontinental Hotel

What is best way to get to this hotel from airport?

Any recommendations for good eats close by?

We will be coming in the end of Oct and staying 4 nights, its been about 5 years since our last visit, just want to relax and walk around and enjoy the sights, enjoy some sand gravity, no big plans.

A taxi outside the arrival terminal will get you there in about 8-10 minutes.

Metropol is a delicious restaurant right down the street. We ate there twice on our trip to PR. We took a bus to Old San Juan and it took about 45 min, but if you take a cab I think it's 15 min.

There is a good tapas restaurant at the El Convento Hotel in Old San Juan.

I second the recommendation for metropol. We were there last week. You can walk from intercontinental. Also Made In Puerto Rico is great for food and drink. Be aware the Intercontinenal is currently doing construction in several areas including the beach bar, lobby, casino, refurbing rooms and the exterior of the building.

There is also Di Vino Wine & Tapas Restaurant at the Verdanza Hotel, just 3 minutes walk from the Intercontinental. I believe Zest at Waterclub also has Tapas. In Old San Juan Dragonfly is great for Tapas

A nice spot for casual food is La Playita Cafe, located right off the close end of the beach.

Another vote for Metropol. It's only a 10 minutes walk from Intercon.

Another option is Mi Casita Tropical, close walk from Intercontinental, in the small shopping area with a couple fast foods like BK. Good local breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
