Has anyone ever stayed at Coqui's Hideaway? Could I get a review of the place?

Thanks.

We stayed here in 2004. I know the owners have changed hands since this time. It has a beautiful pool and yard area around the pool along with a great gazebo where we spent most of our time when we were at the property. We found the casita to be a bit cluttered and stuffy and rooms small, and were also disappointed it did not have a view. At night you do hear some traffic as the house sits right on the road. I think the new owners have spruced things up a bit so it may be better. For the price however it was a good deal compared to area hotels.

Coqui's Hideaway in Rio Grande just opened in Dec 2006, so the last review was probably about another Inn that is now closed.

Thanks flowertown, you are correct, the property I described has closed and changed owners. One of their rental units was called coqui's hideaway so I apologize for the confusion.

This coqui's hideaway looks wonderful in comparison and the prices are awesome!

We stayed at Coqui's Hideaway in Rio Grande, PR in January 2007. It was fantastic all the way around. It was extraordinarily comfortable and convenient for my husband, myself, my 5 year old, 1 year old, and my mother-in-law. The property is secluded, quiet, and beautifully landscaped, with an awesome view out the back veranda. The accommodations are modern, clean, and all of your needs are anticipated by the owners. They even provide food storage containers for your left-overs, and fresh fruit from their property. The hosts, Ray and Gwen are super sweet and helpful. They made us feel very welcome, like we were old friends coming for a visit to their home. We left only because they had another booking; otherwise we would have loved to stay there longer. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a real kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms, and in-home laundry. It's also great for anyone who needs a place on ground level-no steps! So convenient. The location is excellent to tour the entire island, but particularly the eastern portion. It's just minutes to El Yunque and the beaches and very easy to get to Old San Juan. Coqui's Hideaway is also an incredible value for all that you get. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

We just stayed there November 2007. Our family (2 adults and 3 kids) absolutely LOVED this place. Ray and Gwen have done an excellent job at making Coqui's a great place to relax. If your looking for something to do, they have very detailed informational guides. If your looking for somewhere to eat, they have that covered to. Local food is always great. The new pool was a real treat for the kids. The place is VERY, VERY CLEAN!!! My wife wants the ladies to know that there is NO ICK factor. The most amazing thing is that when you had a question or needed someting Ray was always right there. However, he was never in the way. The fruit they grow on site is amazing. We ate fresh fruit EVERY day. From bananas, to oranges, to grapefruit. We loved it. Want to go to the beach? They have everything you will need. We would definitely stay there again. I honestly can't think of one criticism. Even the pillows were perfect!!
