Any advice on villas in Port Antonio for under 5,000/ week? 5 adults require 4 bedrooms, want to be waterfront, pool optional. Traveling third week of march.
hi, we stayed at Moonsan villa in Port Antonio. They rent out rooms separately or i think the whole house was $400 per night. It has 4 rooms in total and all are spacious with ensuite bathrooms.
It does not have a pool and it is not right on the water but it is really close to the Blue Lagoon.
The price includes free pass to Frenchmans Cove which is beautiful and a lovely breakfast.
the website is www.moonsan.com. check it out.
My personal choice for you would be to stay at the Goblin Hill overlooking the San San Beach and Blue Lagoon. Both within walking distance. Being on the water only allows you views of the horizon.
Have fun choosing!
Here is a very special place.
MARCH: BLUE LAGOON VILLAS: a waterfront villa on the Blue Lagoon can be had for around US$4,000+up a week for a 4 bedroom -- IF you're lucky to find a vacancy and bargain hard since prices here are normally US$6,000+up.week in Winter Season. Go to the owner's syndicate Web site for details.Or luxurylink.com for a possible auction buy/last-minute bargain.
TRANQUILITY VILLA an option. Pool, but not waterfront.
BELMONT VILLA/3 bedrooms 2 min.above
SAN-SAN Beach has pool, 1 acre grounds, luxe -- the former Molson (beer)estate.
GOBLIN HILL feels like villas tho it's a small hotel with pool in very lush grounds
on top a hill with a walk down to seaside.
RIO VISTA outside of town on the Rio
Grande has separate villas, a magic location
and good food/hospitality.
Moon San, Frenchman's Cove, Mockingbird Hill our guests have found presented disagreable 'issues'...
TRIDENT is said to have done major
remodelling and might be worth a look-see.
JAMAICA PALACE an option, tho, a somewhat bizarre one, as would be Earl Levy's

Hi Zazie, The following villa is probably just what you are looking for - portantoniotravel.com/accommodations-villas-… - do not know if you are familiar with Pt. Antonio. I am a Jamaican living in the US but go back to Pt. Antonio every year. Most of the villas in the San San area (about 4 miles from town) are in the hills just above the coast and have pools. The villas along the coast and especially the ones on the road to the Blue Lagoon generally do not since they are right on or over the water. “Oceanshell” is on a peninsular with 5 other houses and fronts onto a private cove with to other houses – very private. The cove to the left is Frenchman’s Cove and to the right is San San Beach. The great thing about the location of this house, is that since it is on a peninsular, you do not have the noise from the coast road that tends to run rather close to the other houses that are right off of it. I hope this help you in finding a place in Port Antonio.
