Yep . . . we're in the same vote as we arrive next Friday (9/5/08) as well. However, it shouldn't effect our trip for next week . . . . . if I were leaving this Friday then I'd be a little worried though.

I will be arriving this Friday. I guess I should start to do a little "storm tracking."

My coworker just left for Treasure Beach for her honeymoon. Looks like it will be a rainy week for her. By the time you folks get there all should be well however.

If my post sounded like I didnt care about any of the people living in the Caribbean who's lives this may also effect, I apologize, it was not intended with that meaning at all.

NancyfrmTexas,

I didn't mean to sound snarky.

I just find it interesting that people (and it happens all the time) are so worried about their vacation being ruined by a storm...when vacations are the least important thing that might be impacted by a tropical storm.

2 years ago on our September trip, Jamaica had similar issues with tropical storms etc, luckily they passed Jamaica and most odf the other islands by without incident and weather wise we had the best 2 weeks ever.

I'm going to be arriving in MoBay the day after you, so my fingers are crossed for both of our sakes.

Ok, It has a name now.... Tropical Depression Seven. It looks as though it will dump some rain but should be outta the area by next week. Looks like there will be quite a bit of rain for this week though winds @ 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
