I didn't realise there were any curfews in Kingston. Are they in force right across the city, or only in certain areas? There was an editorial in the Gleaner a few weeks ago saying that the crime rate had fallen dramatically since the extradition of Christopher Coke to the USA.
There have been many... Typically isolated in areas of concern, sometimes associated with police raids...
There were several curfews after the incursion at Tivoli Gardens early last year. Far fewer now. There was one at the weekend for Nannyville Gardens but that is most unusual in that area. Often curfews are funeral related now.
The cause of the reduced crime rate has many factors, the curfews are just part of the reason for it.
Yes - as Chell mentions, Air Jamaica fly from Norman Manley International to Montego Bay. Fare is about J$5,000
Wow, Geneticsniper, blast from my past in the BIM forums! Have you thought about splitting your trip and doing both locations? There are some very interesting areas in and around Kingston to explore - Maybe a few days there, then head over to Mo Bay, or even Ocho Rios would be a good spot -
Thanks for that, Chell and JAsoldier.
