So what can I say? We spent another glorious week at Carousel Villa. This time I took my 2 kids with me (ages 6 and 2) and we had a blast! As usual, Oswald and Ms. Millie were great and the food was perfect! Poor Ms. Millie had to deal with a total of 4 kids and 3 adults. So she cooked 2 different meals each time so that she could make sure the kids had something they liked.

We brought a whole bunch of easy things for the kids to eat with us from the States. Mac and cheese, crackers, granola bars, oatmeal, etc. The kids ate that and tried the local fare, and they were happy!

The kids had a blast in the pool. They were so excited that they could get up and go swimming in the morning because the pool was right there in the house! My 6 year old actually learned to swim during this trip because she spent so much time in the water!!!

I was a little apprehensive at first about having the pool so accessible and having kids that were so young (in total we had 2 2 year olds, a 6 year old and a 9 year old) with only 1 that knew how to swim and only 2 of the 3 adults that knew how to swim. But when i expressed my concern to Jen and Bill, what did they do? True to form being the greatest, they purchased a pool alarm and had it installed prior to our arrival. And religiously, every night when Ossie was sure that we were done playing in the pool, he set up the alarm so that we did not have to worry about the kids accidently falling in without someone knowing immediately. We tested it and it works! (fyi - not by throwing one of the kids in though!) ;-) Great Customer Service just doesnt get any better than that!!!!!

Milton took the kids horseback riding on the beach. A total must if you are there. if you want to do the whole shebang have them pick you up at the villa and ride the horses up into the hills and then down to the ocean to finish up with a ride on the beach in the water. Absolutely phenomenal!!! Just call Robert or Milton at Horseman's Stables. The number is in the very informative book on the table in the living room. Ossie can also contact them for you! Or you just might see them on the beach giving other guests rides.

So once again, a big THANK YOU to Jen, Bill, Ossie and Ms. Millie for their fabulous villa and extra special TLC while we were there.
