Sping Waters Villas - Treasure Beach

Looking for information on any of the 3 Spring Waters Villas in Treasure Beach.

Any info shared will be appreciated.

PS - I've already checked out their website and the treasurebeach.net website. Looking for info from someone who has had personal experience-- actually vacationed or toured there or the surrounding area.

Thanks

OK, I wasn't aware of a Spring Waters Villa.

Sadly I can't help you. We booked the two oceanfront villas, were really excited to be going, 4 couples in all.

Then Hurricane Ivan came and literally washed the villas away.

So...one of the three is definitely new :)

I did collect some info on them and got a few emails from folks and all were very positive, good reviews.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Ohliz,

On a thread in the St. Elizabeth section, johhnybgood suggested joining the fourm in the treasurebeach.net website. I'm going to do that and see what I come up with.

I'm just trying to make a decision on whether or not to go back to Moon Dance Villas in Negril or try something new. TB caught my eye and the pricing of the villas great.

Just want to make sure the waters will be calm enough the the boys to swim in and to make sure they won't get bored.

Thanks

Great Bay has the gentlest, most child-friendly beach/swimming

waters of the 5 villages that make up TB with Fort Charles, then the tiny patch in front of Calabash House, then Billy's Bay next, then

Frenchman's and the area in front of Jake's in that order.

Sparkling Waters has 2 villas on a bluff/cliffside and 1 at water's edge/ there's a pool; a path down the hillside leads to the fisher's landing end of 3/4 mile Billy's Bay beach, with varying sand/waters/tide pools. Beaches here are not Negril/but neither is the vibe or the resort enivironment. Moodance is rather an oasis

in Negril (imho, the only way to enjoy it). TB is another Jamaica entirely, with plenty to do off the beach as well.

Another consideration: Moondance offers considerably more luxe than Sparkling Waters, a moderate-price level, rather than luxe

with chef/butler,etc. The top luxe choice is TB is Mar Blue, extraorindary but probably not suited for 2 kids.

Thanks Ohliz & Tivertonhouse for all the info.

From what I've been hearing and reading, it seems to me that Negril is the better option if we're bringing the kids along. So it looks like Moon Dance wins again.

Maybe we'll make it to TB when it's just the 2 of us going or when it's just a group of adults going.

Have you considered Bluefields Villas?

It's not Treasure Beach but quite a special place midway between Negril & Black River.

Thanks Blues Pirate,

I checked out that website. Have you ever stayed at any of these villas?

tYD: Braxton and Debbie Montcure's villas at Bluefields will surpass the level of service/elegance/style of Moondance, especially

HERMITAGE, the best of the 5 villas. Same price range as Moondance. No Negril thrash. Calm child-friendly swimming in front of villa as well as at Bluefields beach, which is public, reached by a private gardened and gated path from the villas.
