I am sure that whatever happened must have been an isolated incident.

Air Jam spends millions on Public Reations, Marketing and even more on Customer Service. Nobody is perfect. It will be interesting to discover what really happened from the person who made this post.

Air Jamaica is a very well managed company. Just like all the others that Mr Butch Stewart is involved with. All the staff are very well trained professionals and take their work and responsabilities most seriously. We are talking about National Pride here.

And all Jamaican are very proud people. Go and see Cool Runnings again, if anybody has forgotten the story.

Thanks to all who answered! I don't mind flight delays or even no food or drinks on the plane. As long as I get there safely I will be happy. This will be my sixth trip there and I can't wait. The part about the dangerous airline just threw me. I hadn't expected to hear that since I thought their flight record for safety was excellent. Thanks again.

Does anyone else have an opinion on Air Jamiaca. I would love to know before I travel. Thanks

First off, the owner of Couples isn't part owner of Air Jamaica. The owner of Sandals is - Butch Stewart. Secondly, I have to disagree with you on Air Jamaica. It is one of the better airlines I have flown on. In fact, they have consistantly have gotten better over the years and they have a good safety record. Their staff have always been good as have their service. And how many airlines actually feed you and give you free beer and champagne/wine? We have flown Air Jamaica since the early 1990's (more than a dozen times) and will continue to fly them as they are one of the better airlines in the air.
