Does anyone know if you need to use converters for electrical devices at Starfish? I was reading a review of the resort and they mentioned you need a "european converter" for using curling irons and such. I am thinking of bringing my son's portable DVD player to keep him occupied when we're in the room but i'd need to recharge the battery at times. We may also need to recharge our video camera and i'd hate to not have the necessary converter and miss out on video taping our whole vacation. Any help on this matter is appreciated. Thanks!

No Barb, you don't need a converter. Seems like we've used basically every electrical appliance known to man there - with the exception of an electric ice cream maker <lol>

Okay, so I'm slightly off the wall today. but it's Friday.

The room that we stayed in had both. The only american plug was the one that had the fridge and coffee maker plugged into. The rest were european. I was lucky the plug i needed was next to the bathroom so I could use my curling iron and my husband could also charge his laptop which was a lifesaver for my son on the plane.

I've never needed a converter. Maybe the person writing the review was from Europe? They may need them to plug in their devices.

The location of plugs cn be a problem. Some aren't located in the best places. In addition to the fridge plug we had one behind our dresser.

That's why we always stick an extension cord in our suitcase when we travel.
