What is the cheapest way to call US/Canada from Jamaica.

My daughter called home twice from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic for a total of 11 minutes and it cost me $82 CDN.

I'm sure there's a cheaper way of calling home.

Bell prepaid long distance cards... $1.42 per minute

Expensive but not outrageous.
