**Leaving soon and WHAT is the MOST inportant INFO you can...

Hey everyone,

Well were getting ready to leave soon to MoBay, and have been on this site for a while, learning alot from all of you! We basicly want to get a post started to when we leave, we can just print up the post and take it with us, with all the most usefull information that all your wonderful people can suggest to make this the most easy going and amazing trip we ever had.... As some of you know, were a young couple, staying at the HI Sunspree and game for anything and everything that Jamaica can throw at us!!!!

Thanks for all your help in advance and maybe this can be something that future people that are heading to Jamaica can use also!!!! Much respect, one!~

Yes, just show them your card if you have one. If not take your priorty club number and they can pull it up in the system. ASK if there are any room upgrades available because typically they won't offer it. I don't think they would have upgraded us if we hadn't of asked. Our 1st room was in bldg 1 which we didn't like. We moved to bldg 6 which was much better. Direct ocean front, ground level steps to the adult pool and the jerk hut (for beers of course). Might I add the ocean was only about 2 feet away! Not too much action down there other than what I have already said. We met a couple in bldg 3 that were very pleased. Their balcony overlooked the pool and the main stage (of course the ocean as well) They enjoyed being able to sit on their balcony to watch the activities. Downside is it can be loud. My opinion I would not recommend bldg 1 or 2 any of the others I think you'll be fine. I have heard that if you give the bell boy $20.00 he'll hook you up with a better room too. Don't quite know how true that is. Word of advice, If you don't like your room tell them and they will switch you, after all it's your vacation and you've paid for it.

Thanks for all the advice!!! GET A BANK??? Whats that all about....... Also, how are the safes "SAFE". Dont the Guest servieces or House Keeping people know how to get into them?????? Not saying they would, but i would think that after working there for a long time, that there would be a way to get in!!! Just want to feel safe, while im out drinking Red Stripe Light all day, and not have to worry about a "RING" that might be in there!!!!!! Ya know what Im sayin, mon!

Why water shoes??? Isnt the water filled with sand, Like how Caymen or other carribian (sp) places are???/

Im not to sure about the $20 thing to the bell hop, rather take my chance with the upgrade with the card!!! Im liking the whole ocean from room, def gonna have to get that, no doubt about it!! Thats cool about the safe, at least we know it will be secure and all!! Where in comparison to HI is Pier 1.... I went to the website and looks cool!! How much for beers and drinks there??? WHat about if we just wanted to go to some dive bar and have a few.... is it safe??? Will people give us a hard time???? That would be cool to do!!!

Well, Im actually in Dallas today for kristens brothers wedding, so the beers and pool are calling my name!! Yep, you got to love drinking at 10am.... Its gonna be even eariler when we start in Mo Bay!! lol.....

Bringing water shoes proved to be the most useful item that I packed. If we wanted to go and find a waterfall, the water shoes made climbing around on the rock very easy and not painful; we found at least a few sea urchins at every beach and on the rocks around the cliffs in Negril. Not too many, just something that could have ruined my day if I didn't see them and stepped on one. :) I think no amount of red stripe could numb that pain. :)

We were comfortable with our in-room safe, which was locked by a key that only we and the manager of the hotel had, and if something had come up missing, it certainly wouldn't have been tolerated. If a code would lock yours, it seems as though that would be the most reliable.

You must be getting so excited!!
