First post, glad to be a part of the boards! My parents are taking my sister and I and our spouses to Jamaica for 6 nights sometime next year. They (my parents) want to go to a Sandals this time as they have been to many other resorts in the past and want to try Sandals again. I believe there is a total of 5 or 6 Sandals resorts in Jamaica.

My question, can someone who has been to them all (or atleast a few of them) comment on which is the nicest? Highlights, drawbacks? FYI, my parents are going to look to kick back and take it easy on this trip where as the rest of us will look to be more active. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

First of all, may I say that the best Sandals resort in jamaica in Whitehouse.

With that said, there are 7 sandals resorts in jamaica. They really are all different from one another. I have, at one time or another, stayed at most of them, but have visited all of them.

SMB: Party Resort, best beach in MoBay.

SRC: Very laid back and classy place.

SI: Small "Hotel". I would really not describe this place as a resort.

SDR: Being renovated Now. Will re-open Dec 19th 2006. beautiful place with lot's to do and the most beautiful pool deck.

SGOR: Newly combined and renovated resort. Also the largest Sandals resort. My personal choice. Very relaxing with lot's to do . Beach is small, but nice.

SN: Beautiful resort in need of renovation.

Beautiful and long white sand beach.

SW: Newest, and nicest of the sandals resorts in jamaica. It is a large resort. Bring insect repellent if you are prone to bug bites on the beach.

Thanks for all of the comments. At this point we are leaning towards whitehouse. Some people have been complaining that its too secluded but w/ its pretty big and we're only there for 1 week so I don't see us getting bored. Any other suggestions/opinions are appreciated.

Also, my understanding is that Whitehouse is located in Westmoreland. If we decide to venture out beyond the resort a couple times is there anything of any interest that we should see (beyond the typical tours the resort is offering). I would like to see Jamaica a bit beyond the resort.
