Jamaica Forum: Which Beaches Resort

 Which Beaches Resort

1. Sandy Bay and Beaches Negril are supposed to be next to each other. Are they within walking distance? If you have to shuttle, how long does it take?

2. Do all three Beaches in Jamaica have waterslides?

3. If Beaches Negril is on the best beach and Sandy Bay is next door, how is that beach?

4. Is the beach at Boscobel nice?

5. Boscobel has tbe best choices of rooms for our time frame, Beaches Negril has the worse choices left so if I decide to do Beaches I want the best overall choice. Beaches Sandy Bay may be the answer if it is really easy to use the facilities at Beaches Negril but I would love some thoughts from those that have been there recently. Any and all advice and comments are appreciated.

Thank you.

How old are the kids. Beahces Negril is the only one with the water park. My kids are 4,7 and 10 . they played at the water park ALOT. It is alot of fun. The lazy river is also there. We loved it at Beaches Negril. Food was great, the water sports were great, beautiful beach and White sand. I havent been in the sandy bay one but it was smaller but the beach looked clean and pretty. Sandy Bay had a water trampolene and BN didnt. It is walking distance but not next door. It looks like oyu wan walk but part of the way you may have to go ont he road. Probably 20 minute walk. I talked to people there and the people who worked there about Boscobal. they said it is a Small closed in beach. Also you have to walk up a bunch of stairs to get from the beach up to the place. We had no complaints about BN. Email me if you want . Keri jkbchendy@aol.com

BN and BSB are not next door to each other. The walk is about 25 minutes along the beach. However, Beaches runs a free shuttle between the two resorts so, walking isn't necessary. The shuttle ride is about five or six minutes, if I remember correctly.

BN has great water slides. Sandy Bay has none. Don't know about BB.

The Beach at BN and BSB are both great beaches in great areas. However, as nice as BSB's beach is, you can walk for a longer way, in either direction from BN.

The beach at BB is very, very small compared to BN or BSB. In fact, I think it is small compared to most good beaches.

The last time we were at BN was in Jan. 2005. There were quite a few people that stayed at BSB and used the facilities at BN daily. These two resorts cannot compare to each other as far as amenities. In my opinion, BN is definitely the better of the two unless you are looking for a quiet resort with a great beach then, you'd want BSB.

If money isn't a problem, I would go with a lesser room and go to BN especially if you have children older than toddler age.
