 Treasure Beach

Has anyone stayed at Rainbow Tree Villa in Treasure Beach? It looks great, but never stayed in a villa, not sure what to expect. Any info would be great. Thanks!

I have never heard of that villa but I rather villas over hotels any day. First of all they are more private and relaxing and you can spend more intimate times with your significant other.

Thanks alimirage, I go to jamaica about 3 times a year and have only stayed at the AI 2x's. I personally hate them. I feel trapped. I would much rather experience the real Jamaica.

It gets great reviews. Every time I call them to stay there they are booked - like a year or two ahead. So you might check their availability before you get excited :)

Lots of villas in TB though that are nice - see treasurebeach.net - best site for info on the area and places to stay.

I can heartily recommend Mar Blue - though not a villa it's a very small B&B, excellent really really excellent food, good location even ifyou don't have a car, pool, beach and really luxurious accomodations.

Thanks ohliz, they are available when we're going. I was surprised when I checked a couple weeks ago since it was such short notice.

Cool! Villa basics....

You can buy your groceries or your cook can or you can go together. I like the last option, the market is really fun.

Staff generally asks at arrival when you want to eat and what, each day you let them know if you're going out/won't be there for lunch or whatever.

Tips about 15%, split among the staff, at the end of your stay.

I always feel really pampered in a villa, with a group it's my favorite accomodation in Jamaica.
