WE ARE NEAR ROCHESTER N.Y. AND THE FINGER LAKES REGION. I called my travel agent and she cakked the hotel directly this morning. She said they assured her that all activities would be up and running. She also mentioned to them that reviews were stating that ants were on the food, etc. She was told of course that that was not true. She told me to document any problems and any conversations with employees as we have travel insurance. If huge problems do exist, we would at least have some documentation. She also has a friend that just came back and she said that it is not by any means a 5 star property, but her family loved it as it was laid back an good family fun. As my travel agent told me, the cost for a better property would be out of sight. I know I priced Boscobel BEach and it was 9,000.

Just a note to say that in my area the Beaches properties cost approximately THREE TIMES AS MUCH as FDR Peebles. There is just no way you can make a comparison. However imho, although Peebles is not on the same level, it is overall much more realistically priced, and a better value for your money.

I think you are going with very realistic expectations and therefor you will very likely have a great vacation.
