Steve!! help !! how long from moBay to KingstonTown in car...

Hi everybody,

finally 2 weeks booked: 1 @ coroya beach Mobay + 1@ negril ...so all good !

question : transport are not perhaps very good but how long does it take to go to Kingston? cause my man (rasta) can not miss the trip to kingston even if me, well, i would rather not to go because of criminality...(i ve heard lots of bad rumors about the capital )

so 2 question:

- how long ?

- is it dodgy for a mixed race couple?

merci tout le monde !!

Good morning Anne,

The drive to Kingston will take you at least a solid 4 hours, if not more. As far as mixed race couples go, it is not too out of the "ordinary" in Jamaica, I don't think it should cause you too much trouble. You might enquire further over on Jamaicans.com. There are several member's there who can give you some personal experience observations on that.

Blessings and respect to you and your Rastafarian friend.

Dear French Girl, Do not worry about anything else but the fact that you are with your man. The man you love and care about. This means that you will have a special look in your eyes and a special smile on your face. Just like your friend. It is called mutual respect and admiration. It is an International language and does not need any translations. People in Jamaica will love to see this. Both of you together. It will be fantastic for both of you. Do you have any problems in London? NO! So please do not worry about this in Jamaica.

Also, do not miss the oportunity to go into Kingston. It is a lovely city full of excitment and life. Half the population of Jamaica lives there. There is some crime. But you do not go into those area. Do not go anywhere south of New Kingston.

You will be fine! Go and enjoy paradise with your man!

ENJOY!

Dear Anne, My answer remains the same.

The trip into Kingston from Montego Bay can take 4-5 hours.

You will see the panoramic sights of the north coast.

The trip into Kingston from Negril is via the South coast.

Also equally as scienic and full of fun. Also 4-5 hours.

If you decide not to go, then your man will be fine by himself.

It will be a shame to miss so much natural beauty, since you are going to be in Jamaica anyway. Just do it!!
