I am booked at Sunset Beach Resort and Spa in July. I didn't realize how isolated it was until I saw the location on a map. Are there any restaurants/shopping within walking distance? How much would buses/cabs be if we had to take them to get to these places???

It's really not that far....it's across the road from the Montego Bay Yacht Club and there is a small restaurant in there. It's about a 5 minute cab ride to quite a large shopping mall - I wouldn't think it would cost very much and, most likely, the hotel has excursions. It looks like a nice place! ANY place is nice as long as it's in Jamaica, mon. :)

Everyting will be ALL right!

you will need to take cabs. Don't worry enjoy! Negotiate the price before you get in and take cabs with red lisense plates. Enjoy

If you take one of the cabs from the resort it will cost you about $20 to get to town.

Walk outside the gates adn look for the cabs with the red plates, as mentioned and negotiate with them.

Enjoy!
