 FDR Pebble-Airport Pick up?

Hello,

Since our flight will get to Jamaica very early in the morning (6:45am), I called FDR Pebble to confirm someone will be there to pick us up. I was told, go to "Jamaica Vacation" desk and tell them you are going to FDR Pebble...a driver will be there. Is this true? Because I am a little worry, I have been reading these thread and was told to hold on to your luggages and it is very hard to find your hotel driver. I am traveling with two small kids, plus luggages...I don't mind to tip someone if they help me with my luggages, I afraid someone might steal them since I will be busy with these two kids.

Anyone stay at FDR pebble before, please advice?

I know they have recently completed changes in the airport . After you pick up your luggage we always basically followed the crowd .Go to the area where there are several desks. They will send you out in the parking lot toask for a certain person . We have been put directly on a bus and other times told to wait in a covered area . Pebbles has a contract with the bus company . Someone will be there. You will most likley be the first resort off the bus but they will be carrying people to other places too. Day before you leave go to the office and inquire about your pickup time. They will make arrrangements for your pickup. We use the Air Jamaica flight departing at 5Pm and they have has us picked up at 2;30 . You will not have to check out of your room at 11 you can use it until it is time to leave. I know with 2 small kids there are things you will need but pack light. You will spend most of your time in bathing suits. Pebbles is very informal you will not need the "Dress" for dinner.

Don't worry about letting someone help you wiyh your luggae . You will be inside the airport . I cannot imagine someone running away with a full suitcase followed by a screaming hysterical woman . There will be plenty of people looking for tips.. Just a suggestion. Since we read about porters being nasty and wanting more money I would ask up front how much to take it to the bus for Pebbles. We only do carry ons .

You will have a great vacation . You and your kids will love Pebbles.

Longneck,

Thanks for the advices, I was laughing so hard, because I have this image of me yelling and screaming with two kids in tow and someone try to steal the luggage.

I am so glad they don't have dress up code for dinner. It's hot and humid, and you are vacation...the last thing you want to do is dress up for dinner.

Did you like their food?

The main food area is the buffet . There is always plenty to eat and a variety .Plenty of fruit and veggie dishes. They always have a nice selections of cakes and pastries for desert . To me breakfast was the best meal . The food/bar by the pool has good made to order food . Their jerk chicken is good and they have made it when it was not on todays menu . I would reccomend lunch there because 3 meals a day at the buffet can get old fast .They have some sort of entertainment/games after both lunch and dinner .Don't miss the night they have the native dancers and fireeater. The Jamaican restaurant (Overproof) has opened since we were there .I' am anxious to try it .

Let's put it this way . You're at a great 3 star resort . The food is not gourmet but you should always be able to find something you like. You should not leave hungry or worry about getting sick.

They also have a kids buffet . Can't tell you too much about that as my son is in the teen group.

Longneck,

Thanks for your input. I am not too worry about foods, as long as there are variety. I am looking forward to all the water activities, like scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing and etc. One of the reason I book this hotel because of it great review and it is family oriented. I am just worry about the weather lately about the rain. I can't wait...if it is up to me, we would already pack!!! Our trip won't be until May 19!!!!
