I have been to Couples Swept away for my honeymoon, but taking my mom this time and want the same type of resort- but non couples - obviously.. my travel agent wasn't keen on SATP because it was rated 3 stars, (used to 4 or 5 stars)however it seemed to have excellant reviews???

Thanks for that. i didn't know it wasn't on the beach-it's across the street - no way, i need a room on or very near the beach. oh well. still confused as where to stay...

well, if you book at Couples Swept Away, you better ask for a room on the beach. Their resort reaches as far back as SATP. It's that big.

I would be sure you suggest a beach side room at any resort you choose if you don't want to walk.

SATP is across the road but it only takes a few minutes. If you read all the reviews, I have yet to find one person bothered by it. The resort more than makes up for it and the walk is really no big deal. (unless you have trouble walking that is)
