I've seen this term used a lot as of recent & I began to wonder...

Just what is a Banana Hammock? Is it a Speedo? Is it a pair of swim trunks with or without lining? Is it the lining itself? Could it be a purse or "bag" if you will?

I got to surfing around and have seen a plethera of Banana Hammocks... but I've not seen any in Jamaica...

Is this the spring breakers fashion & if so, have any of you seen any Banana Hammocks in JA this break?

Please, what kinds of Banana Hammocks have you seen?

Just don't make eye contact and maybe they'll go away!

I saw a guy last week in Ochie that had no rear end and was soooo skinny and that the string in the back kept slipping to the side. There are some things in life that I just don't ever need to see. That was one of them. {{{shudder}}}

budgie smugglers, d*ck togs??? Oh my goodness...For giggles I googled the topic. Below is what I found ;-)

speedo, which takes its name from the swimsuit brand Speedo, may refer to any briefs-style male swimsuit such as those used in competitive swimming, regardless of the actual manufacturer (see genericized trademark). Such garments are otherwise also referred to as competition briefs, swim briefs, posing briefs, banana hammocks, budgie smugglers, d*ck togs or racing briefs. The term is most common in Australian English but is also widely used in other English-speaking countries.

Like the underwear briefs, speedos feature a "V-shape" front and solid back providing form-fitting coverage. They are typically worn below the lower waist. They are secured by a drawstring and thin banding at the upper thighs. Most speedos are made of a nylon and lycra/spandex composite. Suits commonly have an elastic front lining made of similar fabric and are secured around the waist with a cord draw string

At least finally somebody has come up with a fashion faux pau that makes the MALE look like an idiot.

I would guess that in order to wear one of these, the wearer must be "challanged" in that dept in order to keep it on/in.
