I've seen this term used a lot as of recent & I began to wonder...

Just what is a Banana Hammock? Is it a Speedo? Is it a pair of swim trunks with or without lining? Is it the lining itself? Could it be a purse or "bag" if you will?

I got to surfing around and have seen a plethera of Banana Hammocks... but I've not seen any in Jamaica...

Is this the spring breakers fashion & if so, have any of you seen any Banana Hammocks in JA this break?

Please, what kinds of Banana Hammocks have you seen?

Just had to read this thread as it brought back laughs from past vacations. We too have used this term for Speedos but wanted to share one of our names we use as well.

We signal each other that we have sighted a car wreck (you know it isn't gonna be pretty but you just have to look). If it is really bad then we term it a "Multi-Car Pileup" Never a dull moment with our group, especially when playing a pick up game of beach volleyball with one of these guys.

and maybe get a good braid job on all that hair. Most of them look like they are trying to hide Chewbacca in there (taking a line from Larry the Cable Guy)

Its so true. The only men that wear them are hairy and really should not be showing off thier "stuff". LMAO!! They strut it like they have the best banana hammock going! Atleast they are full of self confidence. I love the car wreck thing! You have to look but you know you that once you do your going to regret it!!

as strange as it may seem that is a line of swimwear and he is the model for it. It is also for women. So who knows you may see that exact BH on the beach this summer, but I hope I don't : )
