“ Point Village Negril ”

We're thinking of booking a week at Point Village ( over the Easter weekend)and have read many reviews ( both good & bad). We have been to Jamaica several times, usually staying at Breezes Runaway Bay, which since the renovations seems to have lost is charm. What we are looking for a small hotel for a relaxing week in the sun, nothing fancy, ( if we wanted a 5* we'd book it) just clean with friendly staff, etc

Any comments, good & bad are greatfully appreciated.

Also consider (although not in Negril) for a/i good value...Royal Decameron Montego Bay. Great spot!

Breezes Runaway Bay is also a ton of fun for that age group. Not sure price wise how that stacks up but...worth a look.

We stayed at PV back in 2005 with our teenage daughter and had a blast!! It was her first time to Jamaica (our 5th) and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We only ventured off the resort once to do the canopy tour - which was also a lot of fun. A bit of ride but well worth it.

Hope you enjoy your stay!! We're going (alone) to the Grand Lido Negril April 4-11 - it can't get here soon enough.

Have a wonderful time at Grand Lido. We've never stayed there, but it looks beautiful--we've stayed at both RIUs in Negril. We'll be at Breezes Runaway Bay 4/9-4/19 and cannot wait. PV is for our son and I believe he'll like it.
