 FDR Pebbles???

I am going to FDR Pebbles in January. We would love to hear from people who have been there about what to expect. I am mostly concerned with the activities for adults. Thank you in advance.Howard

Hi Howard, I stayed there for one night a couple years ago when our flight was cancelled and the airline arranged for us to stay there. It was very nice...the room especially. Spotless, new, well-equipped, nice views. Since we were there only one night, I don't have any details on activities, etc., but the pool was large with a swimup bar, there was a hot tub by the sea, nice open-air restaurant. It seemed like a good place to take the family. There were lots of kids and nannies...nannies are included, I believe. One drawback is that the beach is somewhat small in front of the hotel. I remember walking by that area while the hotel was being built and thinking that it was very close to the sea. It is. However, there are beautiful stretches of beach in either direction from the hotel if you're so inclined to take a beach walk. Hope this helps! Just thought I'd add my two cents. If it was within my budget or I found a deal, I'd definitely return. Great family place.

Greetings and welcome Howard. I agree with what MsL has told you. I have not stayed there either, but we poked around on several trips to Time and Place restaurant, last year while staying at Starfish as it sits between the two. I can't tell you much about activities within the resort there, but like MsL. said, I saw the pool area which looks really nice and the rooms and architecture very nice as well. Judging from the menus we saw posted by the poolside, you will happily find them to have a more local Jamaican flare than most of the popular A/I resorts.

I reiterate also that there is very little room between the room blocks and the waters edge, and the sea bottom right in front of the resort is extremely rocky. If you want to swim right there, I suggest you bring some rubber watershoes, or you just walk over to the beach next door at Time and Place, or next door on the other side in front of the Bamboo Village, which is a great community of crafters and artists who sell their wares on the beach just East of FDR.

I personally highly recommend checking out both the Village and Time and Place restaurant.

Blessings and respect to you, enjoy Jamaica.
