We only stayed at PawPaw, but think either would be fine. Paw Paw is the one out out on the edge, so it is more secluded, but it did get alittle breezy and staying at Rock fig might block some of that. As far as decor and such, no major difference.

I stayed in one of the two bedroom villas (Coconut) this past August but did admire the smaller one bedroom units out on the cliff. Paw Paw being the closest to the end of the property. Maca Bana is a wonderful place to relax, and get away from it all. The view on top of the hill is simply incredible- words can't do it justice! You will see lots of pictures by TA posters on theTA page reviewing Maca Bana. You will see pictures of both Paw Paw and Fig. Both perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge. Even though you are away from the crowds, you can relatively easily access restaurants and other services and activities. We did rent a car while there (arranged with Maca Bana) but also used some taxis at night.
