All Inclusive @ Bel Air Plantation |
|
We're just beginning to plan our next holiday and the Bel Air Plantation sounds really nice. In the holiday brochure we have, there is a chance to upgrade to All Inclusive but there are no details as to what it includes. 1) Has anyone out there upgraded to all-inclusive there, and, if so, what was it like, and 2) If you have stayed at Bel Air Plantation, what did you think of it. Many thanks Report as inappropriate |

We stayed at Bel Air over Xmas 2004 and will be returning this coming Xmas. the resort (if you can call it that) is very off the beaten track and extremely quiet, do not expect 5 star "in your face" service, it is all very laid back but what a beautiful location, your villa will look out over a fantastic bay which is only shared by a boat yard further inland. The staff are freindly and the owner Susan and her partner cannot do enough for you, they will even run you back to your villa after a few drinks when you dont fancy the walk. The all inclusive is good value and really the way to go as there are very few places nearby where you can eat and drink, it is a 35 minute drive to anything really decent, although there is another resort nearby (La Sagesse) which has a decent restaraunt. The Villas are superb, so comfortable and beautifully finished, all designed by Susan, a real touch of class, very caribbean but very comfortable with great verandas and views. A word of warning is the mosquito situation although we popped in there this last Xmas and they told us it had been sorted out. There is no beach but the infinity pool is a work of art set into the hillside with fantastic views and you will almost certainly have it to yourself. This is real Caribbean hideaway stuff and not for those looking for action, there are great walks along the headland but there really is nothing else to do, a car is a must and the island really is worth exploring, this is the Caribbean as it used to be elsewhere, see it before it changes, you will not be disappointed. The Villas all have about 20 steps up to them and are set into the hillside, definitely not for the unfit. good luck Report as inappropriate | ||||||
