hello,

can someone tell me if i need to bring eastern carribean dollars with me or is us dollars accepted everywhere. im also travelling to tobago so dont want to be carrying around two different currencies.

We took eastern caribbean dollars with us to Grenada and also used same when we have been to Tobago. You can use US dollars as well but you will get change in ECD$

You can't use Eastern Caribbean dollars in Tobago. EC$ can only be used in Grenada, St Vincent & the Grenadines, St Lucia, Dominica, Montserrat, Antigua and Barbuda, St KItts & Nevis and Anguilla.

You will need Trinidad & Tobago dollars for Tobago.

When I was in Grenada, last year, you could buy EC$2.688 for US$1 in all the banks. If you were buying US$, the rate was just over EC$2.71 per US$1.

Sorry about error re Tobago money, still recovering from too much rum punch on hols, was thinking of Antigua.
